Our dedicated Director and exceptional Parent Committee work tirelessly to ensure the best interests of our dancers and the community. Together, they bring a wealth of passion and expertise, focusing on nurturing each dancer's growth and enhancing our cultural programs. Their commitment to excellence drives our mission forward, making a lasting impact on both the individuals we serve and the broader community.
Teyolia Folklorica was founded in 2024 to address the need for accessible cultural arts and education resources, particularly for underrepresented youth and communities. The organization emerged from the Heights High School Ballet Folklorico club, initially created by a passionate group of students. When the school could no longer support the club, the dance director, along with dedicated parents and students, decided to continue their journey. They established Teyolia Folklorica to preserve and extend the club’s cultural and educational impact, ensuring that the community continued to benefit from Mexican folkloric dance and cultural education.
Teyolia Folklorica enriches lives and strengthens communities through Mexican folkloric dance by blending artistic technique and cultural education. We integrate creative arts into our educational approach, fostering deep cultural understanding and empowering underserved and underrepresented youth and communities.
